HELP NEEDED!

ANY ONE EVER USE A CODE SCANNER / READER ? I HAD TO GET ONE BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE TO CONNECT IT ? I THINK IT'S UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN

IF YOU ARE GOING TO CRUISE NIGHT I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME HELP SOMETIMES MY TOP DON'T GO UP AND I KEEP PAYING CHEV. SERVICE TO CLEAR THE CODES, SO THE TECH SAID I SHOULD GET ONE SO I DID !!!! THEY DONT KNOW WHY IT IS DOING THIS ???? AND I AM OUT OF WARRANTY!!!

It IS just under the steering column. Usually just at the edge of the trim panel facing the driver. It's about 1.5" across with 16 pins.

The part from your scanner should look like this


So look directly under the steering column for the female plug that will accept that jack.

I'll stop by cruise night tomorrow to see if you still need help.

I checked my Corvette when I got home. The port is directly under the steering column and just at the end of the trim panel. You can not see the port easily because it faces DOWNWARD.
Here is a picture of mine. This picture is looking straight up from the floormat...


If you want, we'll just hook you up at cruise night... I will be at cruise night early and have to leave early (by 6:45)
