Seriously, you would count on Accuweather when they are dead last in weather guessing, I hope they are right because I am 400 miles away and they are saying rain before noon.

Hey Guys - Hope the weather holds out and have a great time. Wish I could attend but family commitments sometimes have to come first.
Looking forward to pictures later in the day

Does anyone know if they need any help cleaning up? It's a ways for me to drive just to find it deserted.

Who said heavy rain would be a good forecast?
Heavy Rain was NOT the forecast at 0400 hrs

It's real easy to be a Monday morning QB. You're replying 10 hours after Jac's post, which was a little after 4:00am.

If you don't have anything good to say then why say anything?

Jac gave this thing everything he had. No need to be the Monday morning QB..

Thanks Jac for everything you did and the heartache you went through..
You're a good man!!!!

I heard the forcast from 3 or 4 TV stations up until 3AM Sat. and they were in agreement about the rain on Sat. I woke up Sat. morning to the sound of heavy rain at 10AM.
I put 2 and 2 together. I stand by my comments.

Glenn

Too bad about the weather - did the show go on or was it deferred until next week?

carboman has a little shameless behaviour in the past
The show went on, the lot was full of Corvettes and we had a great (and a bit soggy) time today. Always nice to hang out with friends.

Sorry you didn't get up until 10:00. but I was up and off to help out with the show at 6:30 AM and it was pretty nice out. Having had to make a call like this with fire company events, I respect Jacques decision and understand the heartache associated with making a call like this. I am sure I would have made the same call myself. As Mark said we had a good time with a lot of good friends and made the best of the situation. Sorry you missed it!

I respect Jacques discision no matter what. Anybody that has walked the walk with those decisions knows it's not easy. They have vendors and many other things to consider when making decisions like that.
Well done Jacques and CCDV. Sorry the weather sucked.

Thumbs up

Yeh, the weather sucked but we had a GREAT time. The camaraderie and great members is what this Club is all about - AND we made some money for the worthy charitable causes we support! SO, all in all, it was another successful Cavalcade!! Thank you to all who helped in any capacity, especially Jacques and John T!

And of course you took home a trophy so it wasn't too bad a day.
