The only thing that will ruin the Camaro for me is that GM will floos the market with the lower priced 6cyl models.
It's nice driving a Vette and not seeing one on every street corner.

Wink

The Corvette will always be the winner in my book but the new Mustang has peaked some interest - even though it's a Ford. It's definitely the only Ford I would drive - maybe for an every day beater?? But it would have to at least be the GT or Shelby!! and personally I prefer the coup vs the convert. Also, they all sound so nice! Why can't the new Vette sound that good?

How do you feel about a 2008 Z06 compared to 63 Split Window coupe? I'd guess, it's a mockery of a fine automobile of the 60's also.. That change is a much more drastic of a change than the 1969 to 2010 Camaro.

I fell in love with the 63 SWC when I was a little guy but am also in love with the C5's and C6's... "Roll with the Changes" (I love that song)
Glenn,
The new Z-06s are BEAUTIFUL! I agree. But, they didn't try to make it look like a redesigned 63. The Corvette is and always will be a timeless BEAUTY!, that just kept evolving into a Better and Better Sports Car.
Thats not what they did with this Camaro. I just don't like it.
OH, Thanks for the compliment, I'm a TYPICAL C-2 guy! Don't forget though. We do have the Black C-5 convt.
Have a GREAT DAY!
Rick

Rick, I've been meaning to ask you, now that you've had the C5 for a while. Tell us if your opinion of computerized Corvettes has changed. I remember you dead set against owning a late model not too long ago. So, what's your take now? Would you buy another or stick to the classics? We know from a maintenance standpoint there's no comparison, but do you find yourself taking the extra time to enjoy the C5, taking the long way home, or is it just another daily driver to you?

Joe,
I like the 98. The C-5 was Arleens choice. It had to be Black/ Light Oak int. with Black top. If Allen didn't sell us his we wouldn't have gotten one. It does have Great body lines, looks Great with the Black 07/Z-06 rims and it's nice to drive when the suns out and the top is down.
But is is just another driver. The Harley stays in the garage and the C-5 stays outside.
I will be buying another Mid Year by winter end.
Sorry guys, I just LOVE the Mid Year convts.
Rick.
