CCDV Specialty Plate Design

UPDATE: SATURDAY JANUARY 21, 2006

CCDV HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN ACCEPTED into the PA Specialty Plate Program.

Next step is to move on to submitting the logo and deciding on text for the bottom of the tag.
Bottom of the the tag text is limited to between the 2 attaching bolt holes.
My suggestion is: CCDV.com
==========================================
While we are waiting on final word from Penn DOT to accept our application into the states Specialty Plate Program, I'd like to start to think ahead a little.

Are we all in agreement that the below plate is basically what we will be wanting? There are no varations to the actual plate design, just the logo that will go on the left side of the plate and the text along the bottom, and this text will be very limited.
Below is the basic design I figure we will be submitting for approval ONCE PennDOT has given us the go ahead to submit a design.
This is the basic layout, it would be cleaned up so the logo is very clean & clear.

What do you think

Looks good Glenn. What does the CC stand for and is it needed?

I like the design and I would guess the CC stands for Corvette Club.

PennDOT told me when I asked about those letter that they would upon approval put CC there for "Corvette Club". There ARE other Corvette Clubs in PA in the Specialty Plate program and that is what has been designated for their plates.

Those vertical letters on ALL Specialty Plates are designated by PennDOT, NOT the Club or Organization requesting the plates. The only choice the Club or Organization has on these plates is the logo to the left and the bottom line of text.

I think it looks nice and clean. Only suggestion might be to experiment with different fonts on the bottom of the plate.

Glenn,
I think it looks great and I can't wait to get one. You may want to check on the letter/space count on the bottom of the plate. Corvette Club of Delaware Valley may be too many letters. Just a thought....

Norm, the font is not a choice, you "get what you get"

Ron, That actaully COULD be an issue, once approved, then I have to deal with the people that actully design the stamp for the plate. They WILL tell me how many letters we can have there..

Looks good Glenn, apparently there is little that is allowed for change, fortunitely the original design you posted seems to be accepted by all so far. Looking forward to it.
