More Bargains installed!

Picked up used Granatelli Motor Sports Mass airflow unit and Breathless performance's Vortex Carbon Fiber power duct w/ BLACK (Mark will be so happy) smooth coupler and C5 emblem for $150 total. Yes, Glenn another set of bargains. Installed them today w/ Jake....... thank g-d for his help. "Dad are you done yet so we can take a ride". So used to taking the airbrige and couple and MAF sensor off so many times now I could do it in my sleep. Anyway noticed a big power surge and great rumble. Very happy with the look and performance of the new mods. Any one need a stock MAF, Air brigde and smooth blue coupler? Let me know.

carboman has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Lee,

Thank god Jake helped you so at least the mods were done correctly. Now maybe you can keep up with Glenn and me. We're getting tired of having to slow down all the time when you are with us.

Best regards,
Mark

I just bought a VaraRam VR-B2 system, PowerStat 160 thermostat, throttle body collant bypass, Carbon fiber Vortex intake duct with C5 logo, and a Hypertech Power programmer and Z06 front grill screens. O-yea some more chrome pieces also. Can't wait to get it all installed.

Mark, Slow and steady wins the race!

I see the mod BUG has bitten you Ron. As far as I know there is no cure so welcome to the club. Oh maybe bankruptcy is the cure.
Can't wait to hear about the change in your car. Your exhaust should sound even better now!

Yo El now you tell me!

Better to check and ask around before putting on mods, no matter how good the deal is on them..

You car will feel like its being "held back" with that MAF.
Using the stock one will make your car smooth again, and remember its calibrated to your PCM tables.

I don't know ANYONE using the Granatelli unit.
And those who did use it, were NOT happy & reverted back to stock..

IF you stay with it & say you like it, you'll be the first.
Lose it now!

That Granatelli thing isn't worth a dam.

Ask Bill Burkholder...

Lee, you'll proably sell it on the forum for $5 more than you paid for it anyway.....

Ok Ok I get the point!

Anything special I need to know about removing the screen from the stock MAF. Does it need to be cut, pop out or what. Please let me know. I'll let you know if I see a difference. Thank you for all your suggestions.

Be very careful not to touch the wires going through the MAF.

Very Happy with my wheels and Tires

Hey Ron,

I love the Kumho MX's. Fantastic Dry weather traction and ride. Not for wet weather but my Vert usually only comes out on nice days. Wheels are also great. Night and day from the runflats as you know. I also recently got the itch for Black z06 motorsports with a bump up in size to 18 front 19 rear. One problem the jump to 19 sends the price of wheels and tires to the moon. Normal zo6 sizes you can pick up repro wheels for 5-700. when you jump to 18,19 it goes to about $1500. just for the wheels. Won't make a move unless I find a deal. Let me know when your ready for new wheels I send you in the right direction.

Ask Bill Burkholder...

Lee, I had a GMS and it removed it and my mpg went back up to normal. Also the car felt stronger and a better response. The stock maf can handle the mods that you have done so far. I'd spend money for a dyno tune before I spent more money on the engine. You can pick up almost 25 hp with a good tune for about $500.'s .... There isn't better mod money spent than a good tune.

Lee,
I 100% love the Toyo tires I put on a month ago. They are excellant on dry and wet.
I really have the Mod bug bad. I've been in touch with House of Wheels and I'm pricing a deal with them for the Z06 wheels.
You had good things to say about House of Wheels and the price seem good. I may just go with them. ($700.00 locks, lugs, shipping and 3 year warranty)

Ron
