C6 Trunk Struts Question

How do you remove the Struts i do not see any way to get them off is there a tool or ?

carboman has a little shameless behaviour in the past
There's a metal band at the top of the strut, pull this clip off. Make sure the hatch is supported before you do this.

Tony, I can't remember if your car is a coupe or convertible.
Below is what I see on my coupe.

They may be different depending on the year of the car. On my '08 the top of the strut is removed from the hatch lid with 2 #15 Torx screws and then a 15mm open end wrench to remove the strut from the mount. The bottom appears to need to have the lower plastic panel removed to remove the lower mounting screws.

Mine are Chrome not factory so it is different the top of the strut has a small slot but no
metal band i have a convertible i will look closer man am i a dummy when it come to fixing stuff.*
Thanks guys I will mess with it i guess thats the only way to learn
