Excellant idea having the web site at the bottom. Possibly could spark some interest from a passer by. It was also a good idea getting feedback prior to the approval from the state. We will be able to at least have designs to submit when they are ready. It would be great to have them for all the spring activities, shows, caravans, cruise nights, etc.

Lee,

As long as your passport is up to date we'll let you cross the border and return to the Commonwealth. I know of a few nice houses for sale in the old neighborhood,

Best regards,
Mark

CC = Corvette Club

I did reply to this one once, but here is something else about the "CC" on each plate.

Everyone who gets one of these plates will have a 7 digit tag number on your official registration. For example, the first tag issued will be #20001. On the registration your tag number will be 20001CC

Just something to remember for those that get these, when asked for your tag number and if it really matters to give the correct number, they will all start with a "2" and all end with "CC"

She would be talking about packing your things only I'm sure....

Just like the girl that won the lottery............
She came home and yelling to her husband "I won the lottery, start packing"

He replies, "cool, where we going?"

She says "I don't care where you go, just pack up and get the hell out"

Once everything is approved, everyone will be able to see, feel, touch, taste and smell an actual "PROOF" metal plate...... That will be at a General Membership meeting in a few months yet.......

The "PROOF" or "SAMPLE" will be a real plate with all Zero's on it

Hey, Don
Your revisions are looking good. May I suggest that in the logo, can the words "Corvette Club" have a tiny bit more space between each letter, so it doesn't look so crowded?
Thanks for the consideration.

Glenn, You have got a great project going!
Thanks, Ginny

I Ginny I believe that PENNDOT will determine the font, font size and spacing.

That is correct............

All of our renditions are just examples and NOT samples. Just a basic idea.... It will look good when finished.............. The CCDV Logo on the plates will probably only be about 2 inch in diamater, so don't expect too much....

That's nice

BUT remember, on the tag the emblem will only be about 2" diameter so it will be recognizable but not really readable unless you are within 5 feet of it......

Take a look around when out driving at OTHER Specialty Plates, example, Lasalle University, St Joe's University, Villanova, etc etc. Their sheilds, emblems, or logos are on their plates, we all recognize them, BUT see if you can read them from anywhere further than 5 feet away. You can not.

Our plates will look just fine and I am sure everyone will be pleased with the finished product.

Glenn

Dumb question... Are we officially licensed to use the crossed flag emblem owned by Chevrolet (or is there a difference I'm not seeing)? Letterheads are easy to change, just thought I'd ask before we start stamping plates. I'm guessing Joel knows for sure.

Good work on the examples, it's nice to know what we can rule out early. Also, do we know if the plates will be flat or stamped like regular plates?

None of the logos in this thread will be presented to the manufacturer.

These shown in this thread are EXAMPLES, not SAMPLES.

Nothing more than a cleaned up image of our logo, with the possible change of "DELAWARE VALLEY" text being changed to white will be used. That's it............

The way I understand it Joe is that the plates will be flat. Because of ink jet technology that's available PENNDOT does not need to create a die to punch the plates out. With the inkjet system all thats needed is new software with your design on it. At least that's what i've been told.
