Need help with C5

I just had a problem with my 2003 in New York. Driving along, turned on AC and the car died. Acts like it is out of gas but is not, engine has spark, power to the fuel pumps. In New York there is only a few people that know anything about corvettes, even the dealer does not have a mechanic that is capable. Other than dropping the tanks and replacing the fuel pumps does anybody have any ideas of what it could be? Any help would be great. Thanks Paul
