A new addition (number 3)

Brought this baby home last weekend. 1960, one owner, has not been on the road since 1985. 283/230 (original), 4 speed.

Should keep me busy over the winter.

This link should take you to a bunch of pics (might be a bit slow).

She's a beauty! Best of luck with your winter projects.

Bob,

Thanks. All but the trans. The original owner had it changed from a 3 speed to a 4 speed in 1961.

Engine, carb, distributor, generator, manifolds, plus much more are all original to the car.

Good luck with your project. BTW don't try powershifting with the heater knobs pulled out. It's a big ouch!!

Nice looking car and brought back memories of the '59 I had.

WOW! I LIKE IT!!!!!
Nice find. Have fun with your Resto. I'm sure you'll be wearing out your sneakers at Carlisle this coming Summer.
There are times that I'm sorry we sold Arleens 60, but she wanted a Black C-5 convt.
I may have some small parts that are left over from ours.
Your welcome to them.
Rick

Rick,

Thanks for the offer. I'd be interested in any "small parts" you may have laying around.

This car is very complete. The original owner took very good car of it. I spent some time going through the interior and it came up real nice. I just need to recover the seats and replace the dash pad and it will be ready to go. Once the holidays are over, I'll be making the call to Al Knoch.

Then I need to talk to someone who has done a dash pad replacement before as I hear that it can be a bear to do.

I plan on having it back on the road for the Cavalcade this coming June. I'm not doing an all out resto, just want to keep it as original as possible while making it mechanically sound.

Tom
