Another Cruise Night Season ends, THANKS 2 ALL

Saturday Night, October 21 marked the end of another CCDV Cruise NIght season at Pep Boys.

I thought this year was especially nice and well attended throught the season.
The seaon was capped off with hundreds of free hotdogs for all cooked up by Don on his new "Indy 500 Coleman Special" portable gas grille.

Thanks to Don & Chris Terranova for all their hard work involved in pulling off the entire season..

Thanks also to everyone else that helped, namely Ginny and Paul Wydominic who were there just about every month helping, even once I remember in formal wear. Barb Grippo was ALWAYS there and helping out..
Also Rich and Miriam Rogers who seemed to help almost every month, and a host of others. Sorry if I forgot to name others that helped and I am sure there were others, those were the ones that came to my mind.

I hope we all do it again starting in April 2007.

Congrats to all for a nice 7 month 2006 Cruise Night Season

Uncle Don's CCDV cruise nights

Well said Glenn. All of the cruise nights this year were a blast. I think we
got rained on only once

I too, like Glenn said, want to thank the people that did all that work.
Congradulations to you for your success.
I feel guilty when the same people are doing all the work all of the time
and i'm enjoying all the time. Cheers to all of you, I am proud to be a CCDV'er. TS

I also want to thank Don and all of the club members who helped for doing a fantastic job with all the Cruise Nights. Don turned a nice event into a great event that has been more enjoyable for everyone and not to mention profitable, so it is self sustaining. I think Mr. Matlack had a good time last night cooking all those hot dog's on Don's "Indy 500 Coleman Special" portable gas grille. Thanks again to all.

Cruise night is by far one of the best events CCDV holds. And one of the most well attended too.

Don,

Love the new grill. Brings new meaning to term "tailgating". I'm sure you'll make some modifications to it in the off season. Maybe turbo flame control or something?

Best regards,
Mark

I thought that these went til 9 or 10. Got to my very first Cruise night last night at 8:10 and there was only 3 cars (no Vettes) there in a darkened lot. I thought that I was in the wrong place or that it had been cancelled and these folks were just diehards.

Don,

That's the age/temperature relationship theory. You can only stand temperatures as low as your age. That explains all the oldler people in Florida in August with the air conditioning off.

"what, it's not hot in here"

Thanks to Don and Chris for another great season of cruise nights. Our club is very fortunate to have people like Don and Chris who always follow through with their ideas and never drop the ball or try to pass the buck. I am always willing to help-out whenever I can!! Thanks also to Paul and Ginny who bought and sold pretzels and drinks, Barb and Ang who sold 50-50 tickets, Pep Boys who donated door prizes and the use of their parking lot and everyone else that helped make our cruise nights this year a success.

The extra hot dogs and rolls were dropped off at Manna on Main Street in Lansdale this morning. They appreciated the donation.

Glenn - thanks for starting this thread and I second what you and everyone has said about Don and Chris and all their helpers. It takes a lot of time and effort to do what they do in making Cruise night a great event.

Also my thanks goes to Dennis for taking the food to Manna. You have done this in the past with other activities like the Holiday party, etc.

I had something come up at the last minute and could not make it.

Great job to everyone.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto - Thanks to all involved in making this a great season. I enjoyed the ones I could make, they were well run and very well attended. Unfortunately I forgot about the last one until about 7:30 on Sat night. Sucks to get old!
