Infotainment repair

How many times can a part be repaired before the manufacturer is forced to admit it's defective?
My ATS infotainment screen is cracked and out of warranty in time, not in mileage. The manufacturer is willing to charge me half: $700.
It had been repaired twice, under warranty.
Any suggestions?

I had leased an ATS Crimson Sport Edition for 3 years. My Infotainment screen was replaced also under warranty. Replacing the Infotainment system is a $1,500.00 expense. When I asked Cadillac how long it would take to get a replacement, they told me that they did not know. There were none in stock. They have major issues with that Infotainment system. I dumped the car for that reason and also the car rode terrible. When you hit a small pot hole, it felt like the car had no shocks. I thought I was going to pop the tire and bend the rim. I say dump the car or be prepared to continue to have issues with that Infotainment system. Extended warranty here you come.

Take a look at all of the comments under the blog listed above.

What year is your Cadillac? Mine was a 2014.

Infotainment

My ATS is a 2013. Compared to my SUV or my daughter's new Legacy, it's a wonderful ride. Cadillac is somewhat more responsive now, offering to pay 50% of cost, $700.
I'm still debating what to do.
