I went to the Club Store and it was CLOSED?

We just bought a second Vette in a new '09Z car, and I wanted to display the club cling in the lower windshield, so I went to the online store to see if I could buy one. But the store link takes us to a Geocities page that no longer works? Any help?

Yes unfortunately the service we were using Geocities have gone belly up. We used Geocites because it was free which is probably why they went belly up. The store was there to allow you to see what was available, however it was never setup to allow members to purchase items from it. We will more than likely remove the online store forum rather than spend any money for a premium website.

We need to partner with an online Corvette vendor. Web space/processing in exchange for a link to their store. The main problems are inventory (drop shipping) and only selling to members. But I wouldn't waste any time trying to solve problems if we're not going to commit.

Club store items are available at most monthly meetings. Frank has been doing a good job dragging the store to most all the meetings. The problem with an online store is keeping it up to date. Items are constantly being deleted and added. Photos need to be taken uploaded and edited. This takes a lot of time and to be honest I don't think it's worth it. The people that buy club merchandise are probably the same members that attend the meetings and are perfectly happy with browsing thru the stuff at the meetings.
If we feel the need to promote items I would be happy to bring my camera to the meetings and take digital photos of the items Frank tells me to and send have them published in the GasCap or perhaps the full back page of the Sunday New York Times (just seeing if anyone is reading this).

Debbie Trayes has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I read this post

Great idea Don. I vote for publishing it in the New York Times, since this may be one of my last votes as a board member. After December, I can pretty much post whatever I want. And very much looking forward to it.
Now, to get the rest of the board to agree is up to you.

You may also want to check out www.corvettepride.com for the "American Corvette We're Proud" decal being sold by club member Skeets Mariano.
