2010 CCDV Picnic Thanks

The Picnic was a outstanding, we had 85 attendees, the food was good and the weather was 83 degrees and sunny. It doesn't get much better than that. Our Host & Hostess Jim & Edy Doan allowed us to use their beautiful home located on 8 acres in Solebury for the picnic. I would also like to thank Jim & Edy for putting together the road rally that was run directly before the picnic. Lots of fun, THANKS, It was the perfect day.
I would like to thank all those that help put it together "PicnicNick" Nick Scull, Jim & Edy Doan and all those on the Activity Committee (Joe & Joanne Gries, T.Wayne & Patti Lankford, Chris Terranova, John Benischek) who were behind the scenes running to Costco picking up soda, tea, ice, putting up & tearing down the tents, setting up the tables etc.... the list goes on and on.
The only glitch and it was a small one was that the caterers ran out of hamburger... We has plenty of marinated BBQ chicken breasts, hot & sweet sausage and peppers and hot dogs which they thought would go first but as it turned out the majority of people had an appetite for burgers. The caterers were able to have more hamburger meat delivered later on, but all of us had already eaten then.
Thanks to everyone who brought desserts we had enough to restock a small Bakery.
Can't wait until next year.

I'm with you Don. Jim & Edy were really great for having us. I can't remember a better organized CCDV picnic. In addition to thanking all the other organizers,I just want to give you a special kudoos. You are a truly inspired & dedicated Activities Chairperson.
CCDV is lucky to have you. Maybe we could entice you to take the job for life as El Bonko has?

Special thanks to Jim & Edy for hosting the picnic at their house and to Don T. and his activity committee. What a beautiful day it was in Bucks County! The weather was perfect along with great friends, food, rally and activites and of course our Corvettes which brought us all together to have such a good time.

It was a great picnic. That's to the activity committee for all their hard work, and of course to Jim and Edy for allowing CCDV to overrun their beautiful yard.

The only problem is how are you going to top it next year?
