It's time to sign-up for the
2nd Annual Covered Bridge Poker Run
July 19, Sunday - 9:30AM

Cruise - no cost just enjoy the ride.
Poker participation - $5.00 per hand, cash awards for best and worse hand (you do not need to join the poker game)

Starting at: The small park just by the Pine Run (Valley) Covered Bridge. It's in Chalfont, New Britain Township, with a Doylestown address. If you are coming off of Rt. 202, you should turn onto Keeley Road (becomes Old Iron Hill Road) in New Britain Township. Map Quest... Pine Run Covered Bridge, Doylestown, PA 18901

Tour details: We have planned a route that will take you through the countryside and over eight covered bridges. It is not a timed event, just a leisurely 2-hour ride through Bucks County. Restrooms ... start, midway, end.

Poker Hand: If you decide to also do the Poker game, along the way you will be given cards to form your poker hand. During lunch you will be asked to show your poker hand. Cash prizes will be awarded for best and worse poker hand.

Lunch: At the end of the cruise we will have lunch, scheduled at a new restaurant, HAWKEYES, on Rt. 113 (in Hilltown) at 12:00. Cash menu.

Questions: To signup .. respond to this posting, or call Paul or Ginny 215-453-7994, email vwydominic@verizon.net.

Just tried Map Quest for the Pine Run Covered Bridge. Use Doylestown, Pa 18901 as the address. These small towns can be confusing. I changed the post to read bridge is in Chalfont, New Britain Township. But you need to use Doylestown, Pa 18901 as the Map Quest address. It is between Ferry Road and Route 202. Old Iron Hill Road changes its name to Keeley Road at Route 202. Call Paul's cell if you can't find it. 1-267-238-7507.

Yes, it does go thru to 202. Make a right onto 202 and Keeley Road is on your left.

We have the maximum we can acccommodate for the Covered Bridge Poker Run and cannot accept any more participants.

Well, forget that ..... we welcome all for the ride and will try to get you in the Poker Game, too. Hawkeyes has a large bar area, so we should all fit in there, too!

Great response ...... gotta love our club!

Thanks for all your emails. We are looking forward to a beautiful day cruising our Covered Bridges with our CCDV friends. We also checked out HAWKEYES Restaurant and the new owners have done a fantastic job. They are looking forward to serving us lunch and seeing a parking lot filled with our dream cars. See you Sunday!
....just to note, Alan And Patti Berkheiser are in for the Poker game, Thanks!

George, I forgot to put myself and Ginny on the list, so you and Ed are both bumped. Ha Ha just joking. The more the merrier, Ginny and I can hardly talk from all the paper cuts sealing the cards in all the envelopes!

Hey Kim and I checked out the location tonight. Keeley Road is a small road and easy to miss. It's in between the New Britain Inn and Delaware Valley College on Rt 202. Keeley Road is just west of Delaware Valley College. The turn onto Keeley Road is right at the New Britain Baptist Church cemetery.

From N.E. Philly you may want to take 309N to 202N. Follow 202N through Chalfont heading towards Doylestown. Go past the New Britain Inn (Great place for cheap drinks and great sandwiches). The New Britain Baptist Church and cemetery will be on your right. Turn left onto Keeley Road right at the cemetery. Follow strainght ahead to the covered bridge.
