About a month ago I bought some windshield washer fluid from a discount store. It was a off brand, unfortunately I threw the bottle away after I filled the car so I don't know what brand it was. I bought it a few months ago and I can't remeber the store either. Anyhow here's my story sad and true. After a couple of weeks of slushy snow and using the washer extensively I noticed a white film and spotting on the windshield and the paint. It looked like calcium or lime. I didn't pay much attention to it figuring it would come of with the next wash. It didn't. I had to scrub the glass with Bon Ami for 2 hours and spend the whole day polishing the body. it was a nightmare. Fortunately it wasn't the Vette but the family car. So beware of snakes in the grass. Buy Prestone or some other brand that has a research lab instead of one working out of some bozo working out of his garage. Don

Don, you know the old saying, "You usually get what you pay for!"
;yn;yn Most of the time it's not a problem, but, sometimes the water in that stuff can be filled with calcium and who knows what chemical dump it was siphoned from. I bought some cheap stuff one time & it froze like a big green brick.. :(
