O.K., this is a general question, but I thought it would also be good as a trivia subject too.
How many Corvette engines were 2 bolt mains and the years?

Bill, I guess I should have added that I don't know the answer, however I think you may be correct.
Maybe Rick or Stephen will verify it.

There is more than 1 answer. For example, the LT5 was a 2 bolt from 90-92, and 4 bolt from 93-95.

Lets not forget the Blue flame "6"'s. I'm sure they were only 2 bolt. :D

Hey there were alot of two bolt main engines. Many more than you just mentioned. How about 265's in 1956 and low horse 283's and 327's. I don't know the answer either but many more than you would suspect.

No fooling...I just mention that year, because not too many people know that it was a two main bolt main for three years and then in '93 they went over to a four bolt main. The reason that they went to the four bolt main is because they thought they had a future for that engine, but it turned out to be too costly. And, that engine was subcontracted, instead of an in-house GM engine in Corvette history.

The first 4 bolt in the vette was 1965 - 396-425 and was used only in the 427 425 in 66. In 67 also only the high per. big blocks. It did not come out untill 68 in the 327-350 only in some not all. It was then very common in all the 350 motors after that.
