i own a 2002 z06. one day while driving a heard a load bang/pop
on the roof. i thought something hit the top and there would be
significant damage. after stopping and inspecting i noticed
nothing. no dent scratches etc. . but did notice that there were two nearly visible uneven lines in the top. one by the top in
front of the glass and one in the rear by the rear glass.
what happened could the figerglass have popped or stretched.
also upon closer inspection i noticed inside the cabin that the soundproofing insulation covering the top seemed to be loose and not completely tucked in. could this have had something to do with it ? any one with similar experience on any vette. or with
the fiberglass top.
