Wax/polish poll

What is the club consensus for wax/polish that you are using?
I'll try to list some of the more popular products, but please tell us what you currently use on your vette..

I like the Meguires products,cleaners,polishes. and swirl removers. But Mothers is the Wax of choice ;)

Untill the other wax/ polish is as easy as Zaino I will not think of changing. Plus NO other polish has a sales staff like Carl. Honest and always willing to help. Nothing but Zaino for me!!!!!!! :D

I expected more like What Dr's do you use?, or how what PSI in your DR's? or something on that line form you bro. :D

Anyway, I use Zaino on the Corvette, Meguirers NXT on the Monte Carlo, Sebring and Neon. NXT is awesome stuff.

Zaino is great for show car Deeeep, layered shine. Nothing else comes close in that department.

NXT is great for cars that spend alot of time outdoors (Monte Carlo, Sebring, Neon). You can NOT layer NXT like you can Zaino though, but it hides swirls better than Z5 and really does shine and it's as easy on and off as Zaino.

I use a polish called IBIZ the only place i've been able to find it is at car shows. It works great. However I've been hearing so much about Zaino once I run out I think I'll give it a shot.

My NXT only lasted 3 weeks, of course it says it contains ESP Engineered Synthetic Polymers, they must be talking about what the bottle is made of, because if you look at the MSDS on this and Gold Class you will see the only difference is that NXT has double the oils of GC, that is why it shines better at first. :)

That's funny.

Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not bashing Zaino, I'll never stop using it on the Corvette.

As far as the other cars, anything goes, as long as it looks good, can help cover normal swirls from being outdoors and is easy to use.

NOTHING lasts these days with our depleted O Zone. The sun just tears polish off cars in no time.

Glenn, oil covers swirls the best, the problem is it lasts the shortest time, either water from rain or washing or evaporation kills oil products. If you do not want to repair the swirls then try a product like P21S it at least offers better durablity than NXT. ;) If Z-5 is not coving them on a lighter color car then I would repair them. :)

Carl, next time I see you I might need a lesson on using Z5. I can't even do anything with slight marks on my Corvette. Maybe I have too much Zaino on the car. Is that possible? I'm thinking the fews swirls/scratches on the C5 are probably covered by so much Zaino that I can't get to them now. Sound possible? It seems likely.

You may be using too much, and it sounds funny but too much will give you poor results, we will have lessons next time I see you. ;) I do not think you have too much on the car, call me when you are going to do your car and I will come over and we will get rid of any problem swirls or light scratches. :)
