Thought I'd share this clutch install with you guys. I'll post the pictures and time it takes as I progress through the job. First I removed the X brace that is on convertible, then the muffler system. Time @ 1 hr.

Just been there Tony...took out my A4 and had it rebuilt.
As long as you are going to have to disconnect the C-Beam, you may want to look at this. Especially since you race.

I was considering those but I don't have a problem with the rear kicking out. They would help in the assembly but for what they cost I think I'll pass. Besides I could fab up something similar for a lot less. ;)

Yep, I agree with you on making them yourself. It certainly isn't something that is high tech. Although I will say that the quality is superb and they make putting that beam back together much easier (not having to hold the nut on top while you torque the bolt from the bottom).
I probably wouldn't have considered it for the price, but I got in on a GP on Corvetteforum and saved quite a bit over list.

Got to work on the Vette tonight after working in the yard all day and I made some progress. This took about 1.5 hrs. I was taking a lot of pictures just so I could remember how this goes back. :D

Just about ready to come out. The drive shaft and half shafts will have to be moved out of the way, then the two bolts on the C-beam and the two bolts at the ends of the rear carrier have to be removed and the rear will come out. I will support the transmissions before removing the last four bolts I mentioned. Haven't hit any snags yet. I'll be ordering the parts next week so while I'm waiting for them to come in I might as well clean some of the rubber from the DR's from under the car. ;bl BTW I started to ramble on and forgot to say why I was pulling the rear, I'm putting in 4.10 gears while the car is down.
