Grand Am race returns to Watkins Glen in August (3 hour race this time, vs 6 hour race in June). With all of the turns ... you don't see much going on ... I suggest you go for a few days. General Admission was $40 ... and provided access to all areas, except HOT PITS. For ALL ACCESS, it was $100 ... which included HOT PITS. Not sure about $ in August, as it will be in conjunction with Winston Cup ... and that's a whole new ball game!
Great pics.
I am not sure this is technically a C5R. I read in Corvette Magazine a great article on the differences in all the Vettes in various series' but I don't recall.
I can take a look when I get home this weekend.

This is the same class (SUPER) that Dale Sr/Jr ran in Daytona in 2001. Same class that Andy Pilgrim, etc run. RE/MAX ran another car in the 2002 24-hour Grand Am Series / Rolex race ... the drivers were: Rick Carelli, John Metcalf (both are drivers for RE/MAX), Davy Lee Liniger (Founder & President of RE/MAX), and Kevin Harvick as their 4th driver.

When I make my first billion, can I become a driver too?
Steven I see now.
I also see the connection of RE/MAX and racing.
Hmm, I wonder if they might have a little interest in a Corvette Challenge series?

For information on RE/MAX at Watkins Glen ... visit http://www.remax.com/sports/motor/teamrm.html
Sponsoring the Corvette Challenge Series sounds good to me ... but Davy Lee Liniger sponsors(ed) events that he was participating in himself. RE/MAX will be bailing out of sponsorship for the ARCA series at the end of the year. Davy Lee has other interests ... including the construction of his own Country Club, and the recent acquisition of a $450K Ferrarri (as a driver ... not a racer).
Is there an actual need for a Corporate Sponsor for the series? If so ... I do have access to all pertinent RE/MAX personnel. No guarantees ... but I'd be interested in learning more ... if nothing else ... at least for myself. LMK
Steven while there is no current "need" for corporate sponsorship, we are always on the lookout for potential new sponsors either coming on board now or for next year.
Lets talk off line.
I will try and get you with you tonight.
