We have been invited again this year to participate in the Oreland 4th of July Day Parade. We will be in the first division near the beginning of the parade. The meeting place is the Fairview Shopping Center on rt. 152 and Twining Rd. We will have to be there no later than 8:45 AM and in line by 9:15 AM. This is a great parade and I hope we can have a good turnout. If you are going to attend please respond to this thread... Thanks Bill

I don't own a Corvette, I own a FFR Cobra ('65 427 S/C replica). I watch your forum for upcoming events, becaue the Cobra forums don't have enough local stuff (I'm working on that now).
Anyway, can someone tell me who I contact about this parade? My 3 year old nephew lives in Oreland and I'd love to put my car in the parade.
Thanks

Bill, I will be there if it doesn't rain. I guess this is my official coming out after almost 2 years of frustration and many dollars. I solved fuel problems with a new tank and an almost new Demon 680 Street Racer carb. As soon as it was running this week I got my new Torque Thrust II wheels and it feels and looks like a different machine.
Got room for a 1976? I will be there with Flags.

Bill,
Count me in, too! I'll be there with my Nassau Blue '65 convertible. I just had side exhaust installed. It sounds real good! Since we are going early on the parade route, it should not be too hot. I know in the past I've roasted in that mid-year convertible. I love the Oreland crowd. They really appreciate the parade of Corvettes. See you there!
Sincerely,
Bill Washnock
can someone tell me how to get there from Richboro? 1976 Blue Stingray (the last year for Stingrays)

Here's how I'd go: From Street Rd and 2nd Street Pike. Take Street rd west to Davisville rd, turn left onto Davisville, follow to County line rd, turn right, then turn left at next light (that puts you back onto Davisville). Follow Davisville rd, a ways down you will cross over the PA turnpike, next light after that (Terwood rd) turn right. Follow across rte 263, around bend and that road is now Fitzwatertown rd. Follow Fitzwatertown rd all the way to Susquehanna rd, turn right, go about 1500' to Twining rd and turn left. Follow about 3/4 mile to shopping center at rte 152 (Limekiln Pike)!
Thank you Glenn. Computer had me taking Turnpike to 309. This is a much nicer way. Again Thanks Don

From the VFW go west on Rt. 63 turn left at the third traffic light (don't count the light at the VFW). (Twining Rd.) Shopping Ctr. is on the right just before Rt. 152.
