When I am tracking straight down the road my steering wheel is cocked to the left. It is not very pronounced but enough to be noticeable. If I center it, the car will go right. Is this an alignment issue or something else?

Hi Rob, did you check the tire pressure. Make sure that you have between 28 and 30 psi. cold in all 4. ( but the same psi in each tire) Don't use the DIC use a good gauge. If you find that the tire pressures are good drive on an 4 lane road to see if it pulls the same direction in each lane. If it still seems to be pulling it may need an alignment.

Hi Bill, I checked the tire pressure and they are all at 30psi cold. It doesn't pull in either direction. It tracks straight, but when it is going straight the wheel is turned about an inch off center to the left. That's why I am not sure it is an alignment as the car would pull in one direction or another if the alignment were off.

You alignment can be off and your car will not pull and still go down the road straight when you let go of the wheel. The steering wheel can be centered if you get the car aligned. :)

As mentioned in the infamous Corvetteforum post, Steve Spencer could handle that problem with his eyes closed. :D
