I was notified that Chip passed away early this morning. My prayers go out to Chip's family. Chip was one of our past members and will be missed by all car lovers everywhere... His influence on the hobby will be sorely missed.. I found Chip to be an average guy who loved all cars but his specialty was Corvette's. I have fond memories of Chip that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. We will all miss Chip, he was in a class of his own. I will keep you posted on any arrangements. Bill
There will be a church service on April 3rd, 1PM at the Otterbine Methodist Church on Forge Rd. in Carlisle. My prayers go out to his family. He will be missed ....

Bill - I second your comments, he was a first class guy. When the club went to his house 2 years ago he made us feel so welcomed you thought you were part of his family.
I remember him coming up to me when I was looking at the car show in the fairgrounds and asking me if I wanted a tour of his office. I video tape the inside and later it was put on our club tape of Chip's Millers tour.
He will be missed.

A very sad sad thing. :( :( Makes one realize how fragile and short our lives are. Even with all his fame and busy schedule, he'd take time out to talk to ordinary folks like us. Our thoughts & prayers are for him & his family. He was a "Class Guy" and he will be missed.

From the NCM:
Special Corvette Friend, Chip Miller Passes Away
Corvette Enthusiast, supporter and friend, Chip Miller of “Corvettes at Carlisle” passed away last night. Chip had been sick for the past few months and suffered with a rare bone disease called primary amyloidosis.
He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all.
Close “bud” and NCM Past Chairman, Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks commented, “Chip will be sadly missed as he was such a terrific “torch bearer” for the Corvette and the Corvette community.”
We invite you to share your thoughts with the Miller family by signing a special guest book for Chip available here:

Hard to believe that a man can be taken in such a short amount of time.
I remember Arleen and I talking to him and Elfie Duntov at the parade at Carlisle. He was a REAL down to earth guy.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. The Corvette Community has suffered a terrible loss :( .l
GOD BLESS YOU CHIP!

Chip brought happiness to so many people through the years. Now, he's joined Zora in a place where the flags are always crossed and the highway, wide open.
This is an aching loss, but I sense his spirit will always be present at Corvettes at Carlisle.
