Rose's daughter took this picture on March 10th @7:00am. There was close to 15 deer in this herd. We don't have a whole lot of vegetation that deer like so they tend to go to the neighbors. I didn't think the herd was this big cause we see deer that are dead along side the road all winter long. El, Lyme disease is a big concern cause of the grandkids that come visit. Don, that sausage sounds pretty good! Jeff, these guys must have a calendar built into their nervous system cause we rarely see any deer in the fall. They must know! :D I didn't have my camera handy but this afternoon, after Glenn left, we had a groundhog look in our basement window. He had to be fairly big cause our window is close to 2 feet off the ground! His front teeth were at least 2 inchs long. Not what I would consider cute!

They look like family from my herd. Late afternoon I have about 10 to 12 deer that graze in the field behind my house. Tony those deer you don't see during the hunting season are in my yard ... We had about 35 deer in the fall but only half that now.

We have em every night..

Got fresh footprints, and when I come home late from hockey games, I see them too... BIG as my RX300 with major racks of antlers. Usually 4-6 of them.

No natural predators around here....

Hey, I saw a fox the other day crossing the street in front of my house. Thats a new one, gotta carry my camera.. I'm sure I'll get his pic soon....

Tony... if there's deer, one roll in the grass & you have to check the kids for ticks.

Our kids get em EVERY time they go outside...

Its totally ridiculous!

El is right - watch out for deer ticks. Lissa's uncle was one of the first people to contract Lyme disease (he was from Lyme, Connecticut where the disease was first discovered). Very serious stuff.

You know Tony you're lucky some days I'll be out during deer season and not see a one!

Well now, maybe that's why I don't see any deer in the winter. I'm not looking up! :D

We have a load of the #@!?**% too! We also get wild turkeys, geese, foxes, ground hogs and tons of squirrels...;gab You know how I feel about those little *#!&*%?#@* too! ;gm;gm Last winter a couple of large bucks would come up to the house & munch on our bushes. Everytime I see the "animal rights' bunch protesting hunting, I remember Al's "lap dancer" experience..;yn ;yn There's just too many of them. We need some cougars around here... That'd do it!!! :D :D :D

Tony:
You never told me that you moved into the Phila. Zoo. Looks like there's a couple of lucky bucks there! Invite a few into your garage. Venison is good!
