Edgar,

After further review of the CC website, I think Glenn Murphy was supposed to win a "Closest to Dial Award" on Saturday, if he was indeed the closest. They said the old sponsor backed out and it wouldn't be presented but the site says Raceway Park will present the award this year. Can you find out what happened? Thanks.

It's on this page, click here (http://www.corvettechallenge.info/rules.php)

Joe, the Closest to Dial should still exist and the award should have included a trophy.

I have noticed that many things seem to have change without my prior knowledge (like the laddering).

I will find out what what the deal is and get back to you.

I apoligize for the disorganized appearance on our part. :(

Edgar, considering it was the first day and ETown was running more events than usual I'd say it went pretty well, except for the tree going red early on a few of us!;jj

On corvetteforum they're saying that Ralph Blauvelt ran a 13.803 on a 13.80 dial in the first round. Let's see what Edgar can find out from the track.

Either way, Glenn had an awesome first day. Congrats again my friend.

Edgar, I thought things ran pretty well too. I did notice one aspect that needed some help though... They did an excellent job keeping cars out of the lanes. But the poor guys who had that duty always seemed like the last guys to find out what was going on.

Joe, does that only count for round #1?

Round 1 I ran 13.009 on 13.0 dial
Round 2 I ran 12.983 on 12.98 dial

Beginners luck, huh? :D

Glenn, those awards are always given for round 1 so everybody has a chance. John Panuzzo has also said he will be awarding $25 for 2nd Best Reaction Time at SOME events and a super duper $100 reward in July to mark his late sons birthdate.

We'll know soon enough whether it was beginners luck or whether you've been holding out on us. My advice is to listen to everything everyone has to say and then try what sounds right to you. Everyone's car and technique are different, so don't be afraid to experiment using conflicting advice.
