Had a good comparison day yesterday at E-town vitually identical DA conditions but with more wind yesterday than on 15 November last year.
These are the best runs each day 11/15/2003 and 3/14/2004 with the X-pipe and the Z06 mufflers being the only difference. Car was also about 50 pounds heavier due to extra fuel (7/8 tank vs 1/4 tank on 11/15). Other than listed mods the car is stock and I always launch from idle.
12.939 107.27mph VaraRam and DR's -700 feet DA E-town
12.815 108.59mph VR, DR's, X-Pipe, Z06 Muf. -700 feet DA E-town
Well worth the effort to gain the 0.1 second on the ET.
At the same weight the difference would have been about .15-.18 faster. That's about 12-15 HP.
