Race results from a cold day at the track. Al Betz bested his low ET and MPH with a 12.81! He figured the X-pipe install with the Z06 mufflers got him the .10. I backed up my best run of last year with an identical run of 12.966. Rookies Glenn Murphy and Neil Fine also had personal best. Glenn popped a 12.78 and Neil cranked out a 12.34 in his Z06. Glenn, Bob Rosenberg, Ellis and Joe all got into the second round. Bob went out in that round. Joe Broke out and Glenn red lighted in the third round. El was up against John Panuzzo, the eventual winner in the fourth. John cut a tremendous light and ran his number. El having a little trouble with the lights, found himself chasing John down into the traps and broke out by a slim margin. It was still a good day as the CCDV Racers added 13 points to our points standing in the Cup Challenge. Racing today was Joe, El, Al, Glenn, Richy, Lee, Bob Rosenberg, Neil Fine, and me. Bill Burkholder, Brian Dixon, Ken Stacey lent their support and help in the pits and the stands and Ken Lynch, who was Vetteless yesterday, took pictures of us most of the day. Thanks guys for your support. A special thanks to Rose for all the help and support she provided yesterday. I'm one lucky guy! :D Joe won the first round Best reaction time with a .002. Glenn was just super in his first outing and was ran a 13.009 on a 13.00 dial in. Had the sponsor not backed out this year he would have gotten a trophy for his efforts.
GREAT day!
Boy, was it COLDDDDD!!!!
Thanks Rose for driving up all our stuff!

I have to thank everyone who was there. Without CCDV I would not even be racing. Without having a group like this to go with and learn from, I wouldn't even bother going (of course, if my car could talk, it would probably wish I wasn't hangin with you guys :D )
It really is fun racing and being with everyone.
I can thank of course:
Ellis for lending me tires.
Tony for lending support and sharing your racing intelligence with me.
Al Betz for helping with the dial in numbers
I started with a 13.0 dial, ran a 13.009
Al and I talked that over and with my input on how I felt and his experience, we dropped dial for next turn to 12.98... ran a 12.983
Rose: for all your support and the hotdogs, even though I never got to the hotdogs, thanks anyway for bringing them and offering them. And for properly showing me how to use my torque wrench. I ain't proud to admit a girl taught me how to use my tool. :D :D :D (I left the door open for comments on that one)
And every other CCDV member there for their support.

Sorry I had to cut out early (2:30) but I just couldn't sit outside any longer. It was 33*'s when we got there and even snow flurries!!! Rose thanks for the HOT dog, Ken Stacey thanks for the hot chocolate !!! Had a great day !! Tony and Rose are great hosts!!
PS no one mentioned Richy's time and speed. Strange #'s for him. Almost 15 seconds and 120 + mph!!!

Besides the cold weather it was an awesome day. Great learning experience, great people and great fun. ;bl ;bl ;bl
With your continuing help I hope to be able to ehance my ability and do my part to help the club retain the "Trophy".
A special thanks to Rosie for all your help. Tony, you are a lucky guy ;tu ;tu ;tu
The only thing that has me worried is, I overheard a few guys talking about the 2 rookies, when the weather gets warmer having them shave their heads and sing some kind of CCDV fight song????????????? ;ae ;ae

First let me thank everyone for helping with the DR's yesterday. My back thanks you too.
Great day of racing as usual. I need to get my post it notes back in the car to remember the procedure after being off for 3 months. LOL
Did have my best run ever at 12.81 I posted info in the product recommendations section of the message board.
Results - After being pretty consistent on the lights at 0.03 to 0.06 during time trials, I went out in the first round with a -0.006 red light.
Actually,all 3 of my runs were essentially 13.0 sec.;approx. 0.6 sec
slower than without the blower due to traction problems. However, when the tires finally grabbed,I got through the traps each time at ~ 120 mph. This is faster than I've ever run by 8 mph.Only concern was that clutch pedal stayed on the floor at the end of the 1st run.Pulled it back up & it was fine.Evidently,
it's a common problem after discussions with Chris from ECS &
posts on the forum.I'll change the fluid before the next challenge
& get some tires with more meat.
