Oreland Independence Day
PARADE 2011
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r250/Dans711/Oreland%204th%20July%20Parade/DSC00141R.jpg
Oreland, Pa. near Willow Grove puts on a 4th of July parade that is right out of the past. This year it's on the 5th. Kids and adults line the street with flag waving along the entire route. Our club has a tradition of being part of this parade. It’s great to see that everyone still loves a line of Corvettes. If you like a parade, don't miss this one and being in it is twice as nice.
TIP: For those of you that have never taken part in the parade many folks bring some candy to throw out to the children along the parade route. Some people also fix flags onto their Vettes.
WHEN: Monday, July 4th.
TIME: The parade starts at 10:00 am and ends 12:00 pm.
WHERE: CCDV participants will meet at 9:00 am in the ACME parking lot at 1825 Twinning Rd. and Rt. 152 (Limekiln Pike) in Dresher, PA19025
NO SIGN-UP JUST SHOW UP
PERSONAL INVITATION FROM CLUB MEMBER DAN SUPPLEE
This is a great parade, draws a huge crowd. As the fire chief in Oreland I will be marching with the Fire Dept., but I would love to see you guys there. I will extend an invitation to all CCDV members to come back to the fire house when you are through the parade for an open house free hot dogs, soda and beer. We normally have a good crowd that goes through about 7 halves of beer in 2 1/2 hours.
Once the end of the parade has passed the fire house we can park Vettes along the road in front of the Fire Dept.
