I bought the car from Tom Branella. It was a bit more money than I was prepared to spend, but it was in the area and could go see it. It was so clean that I was convinced it was worth the extra money. The intake covers are also signed by Dave Hill and Dave McClellan.

There are a number of mods to the car, so it's not 100% original, but it's a fun drive and always garners a lot of comments.

I think I gave the poster to Dennis Trayes at the last meeting. Perhaps he'd be willing to give it to you since I did originally want a '98 PC owner to have it. But that's totally up to Dennis. Meanwhile, I'll check to see if perhaps I have another (same) poster & if so it's yours!

CCDV caravaned to the museum for the 2001 PACE CAR REUNION,Oct. 11-13.
On the way we stopped in Indy & got a chance to take a parade lap on the track in the rain
at 30 mph.Got photos as individual cars crossed the remaining section of the original
"brickyard".Attached photo was taken as we lined up to enter the track.

It would sure be a thrill to drive on the Indy track, esp. in the Pace Car. Maybe we'll get to the next one.

And Dennis, I'd love the Pace Car poster if you can bear to part with it! :) We're planning on bring the Pace Car to the coming week's events (meeting, cruise night, hot dog run).

Tom: At the CCDV meeting last night Dennis Trayes gave me back the 24 x 36 1998 Indy 500 Official Pace Car poster. It's yours whenever you'd like to make arrangements to get it. If you will be at Bryner's tomorrow for their official grand opening on the Fairway in Jenkintown or at the Hot Dog Run on Sunday, I'll bring it with me. Just let me know or call me.
