Hello Bob, I have some preliminary info on the recall. For the automatics from 97-2000 if the vehicle was not recalled prior to this it will be recalled and the column lock will be eliminated. As for the manual transmissions 97-2004 they are only going to do a reprogramming of the PCM. This will not eliminate the system. When I find out more I will pass the info along. hang in there.
