Hey Guys!
What was the first year that Corvette showed a profit for GM?

Rick, I am gonna guess 1958. I really think it is 1960 but I'll stick with 1958. Just a guess.

I'm going to guess 1956. They put the V-8 in '55 and started racing in'56. ( Sound like I'm talking myself into this?)

I don't think so. They only sold 3467 That year. I believe the goal was always a 10,000 unit break even. 1958 Sold 9168, 1959- 9670 and 1960 -10261 the Magic Number. But I'm Guessing.

1958 was a banner year for the Corvette. It was the first year that enough models were sold (9168) to turn a profit for the car.
