View Full Version : Paint touch up question.
When I bought my car I also got a touch up kit. Its pretty nice because they have a "ball point" nib to touch up tiny nicks. My question is this,, along with the paint they include a sheet of what appears to be a paper "towel",,at least thats the best way I can describe it. Does anyone know what this is for,,,thanks.

Interesting question...Listening
Hey Norm I just found something else out,,,I thought it was a big sheet of paper that was folded a few times (I never removed it from the packaging),,turns out its about a 2" x 2" square,,it may be just to "load" the paint pen,,you know to press down on it to get the paint flowing before you use it. I have to say having a paint tip the size of a ball point pen is great for tiny nicks. Theres two bottles,,a base coat and a top coat

Is it for wiping the tears away as you touch up the paint chips?
Sorry............... I had to. Probably what I'd use it for.

If you drive it you'll get a chip:mad: I've got so many it's no use trying to touch them up. Someday I'll get the front repainted...

I've successfully used a product called Langka, heres the website http://www.langka.com/index.php
Of course nothing compares to a repaint but this comes pretty close.

I just use a cardboard match. Just rip one out of a book of matches and use the torn end to paint. Cut it in half if it's still too wide. Throw away when done.
