No problem... I still remember how hectic it could get when I was still working... So many things and no time... :D :D :D :D :D

Basically they're admitting that their 1st fix didn't fix it at all.

We all knew the pin could STILL slip thru...

What are they doing?

Entire new key/steering column?

Physically disabling the motor while the pin is recessed?

Removing the pin itself?

Or installing the simple bypass module like most of us have?

some kind of re-program to cut the fuel so the car wont run ....

Haha... so when the wheel still locks, the engine will stall..

makes sense, huh??

I've said it from day 1, get the bypass...

I laugh whenever those guys on the Forum say they'll NEVER get it, & then cry when they get "locked".. haha

Maybe the General is going to install C-2 Steering columns that don't have that problem :D ;it ;jj ;jj ;jj
All kidding aside, It's about time. Seems odd that they waited until the FINAL YEAR of C-5 production to correct or attempt to correct the problem.
I agree with Ellis. Get the BYPASS! Problem SOLVED.
Maybe thats what GM is going to do

Perhaps they waited so they could use the solution/fix for the C6 and save themselves some money??? It's sad to think that money was the motivator but unfortunately that's big business.
