Hello:
With great advice and help from Ellis I ordered a whole bunch of upgrades for my new Z06. Ellis knows his stuff.
I need some help on a short shifter. Choice between a B&M or a Hurst Shifter. Your help would be appreciated.
thanks,

Neil

I can tell you only about the Hurst. It's a vast improvement over stock and it is a great little shifter for about $150.00. The install is very very easy, even for a novice.

I'm sure someone else here will tell you about the B&M stick as there are a few guys here that have that one as well.

You can not go wrong with the Hurst.

I have a nice set of removal and install instructions I can e-mail you in MS Word .doc format. They are good for no matter what shifter you decide to install even though it was done during a Hurst installation.

From what I understand, alot of the C-5 guys LOVE the Kirban shifter.
Our prez Bill Burkholder Loves his and even has a NEAT  white shifter ball to complement his Arctic White C-5 hardtop

Ellis knows his stuff?  Ellis is a good guy, for an automatic owner. ;) I have had the Kirban, Mallett, B&M and Hurst shifter in my Vettes, I like the Hurst the best and the B&M second, I have the Hurst in my car at this time.

B&M is a hard shifter, but with a good feel. Hurst has that same positive feel and you can adjust the spring pressures with the different supplied springs, or your own custom ones. All are far better than stock
