I've been using Zaino Z-2, Z-5, Z-6 & Z-8 on my Z16 stripes for years with no issue. Recently, someone posed a question on CorvetteForum that Zaino might not be good for vinyl since it contains petroleum distillates.

So, the question is, what are your thoughts?....I'm not sure I buy into this thinking....

Thread about it on CorvetteForum:

Your grandkids grandchildren will die of old age before there is a chemical reaction. I wouldn't worry about it.

Zaino will NOT harm your stripes.

As said no problem at all, have a few Zaino customers that have been applying Zaino to cars with decals like Trans Am's since they were restored, some for over 20 years.

Hmmmm...... Have you added this to your routine? I think you have a coat of Zaino on your car for about every 20 miles driven..

More like 40 miles per coat. But look who's talking.

I will admit I only drive this car for fun but in only 14 months it has 8,000+ fun miles on it.
This '08 probably has almost twice the miles as the yellow '05 over there in Huntington Valley..........

I learned a lesson from owning the Blue C5 that I should drive them and enjoy them more instead of saving the car for the next guy....

Points well taken guys...these cars really should be appreciated & driven. It puts such a smile on my face each time I have it out. With that said...my '04 Z just clicked by 1,900 miles.:D

Mileage is about equal actually. I'm guessing your average speed is much higher over those miles though.

So having 1,400 miles on my 2008 that is about to be sold is NOT what I should have done? I agree, sniffle. :(

Pretty common, I see more Corvette's for sale with under 2k miles than any other car, even my Ferrari customers put more mile on their cars then I used to put on my Corvette's before I sold them. Looking forward to my new Vette and driving on the dirt roads at my NY home. :)
