Any advice or experience with a coolant leak on 01 or any C5. I had this leak for about a year now. It shows up on the floor in the garage. But not all the time. There's usually about 5 to 12 drops. Had to add a little coolant to the tank once. -- I don't feel safe taking it on long trips.
I was thinking about taking it to a shop to have a pressure test done on the cooling sys, and see what it shows. ??? Thx

Well since I didn't get any replys to my post, I went to the corvette forum and got a lot of info on the leak and got it fixed.
That's where I'll go next time !!!

Sorry. I never saw this post. Was it just a loose clamp?

That's always a good place to look.

I don't see any post on the Corvetteforum about this... What kind of answer did you get?

Or did you do what you probably should have done and taken the car to a mechanic?

No. It wasn't a loose clamp. The water pump was leaking.-- I didn't have to make a post on the corvette forum. I just searched the forum for water pump problems. I took the car to Reedmans for may annual Inspection, and had them do a pressure test of the cooling sys. They said it was coming from the water pump. So with all the info I got from corvette forum, I picked up a new friday and put in in over the w/e. Everything is fine now.

For some good advice, you should take your car to Bryner Chevrolet. There are two very good reasons for this. I'll list them starting with the most important reason.
1) Steve Spencer is Bryner's Corvette Technician. Steve is one of the best in the business and he is the ONLY person at Bryner to work on Corvettes. Steve knows it all and he clearly is the best.

2) Bryner gives CCDV members a 10% discount on all service.

NOW, for your own piece of mind, go ahead back to the Corvetteforum and seach again, this time seach on "Bryner Chevrolet" and/or "Steve Spencer" and see if what I say isn't echoed by many others.

At Reedmans, you're just a number and your car is tech'd by the next available mechanic, NOT a Corvette specialist...
