I've been using what GM recommends in my tranny and rear. I've had Mobil 1 in the engine since day 1 and have had no trouble with it. I also change my tranny and rear lubs every year just to make sure there is nothing going on in either that isn't suppose to. :D
Did you modify your rear differential to add a drain plug? I have a kit that I bought from Corvette Clinic but haven't had the time to install it yet.

Not yet, but I will when I and if I have to open up the rear for service. I usually take the car to Bryner for them to change the tranny/rear oils before the start of the new season. How much was the kit?
I think the kit cost $50-60...its on their website. They offer them for c3's and c4's.
Actually what you get is a long drill bit with a stop welded on it and a 1/4"npt pipe tap. Also the 1/4" pipe plug, a template, and instructions.
I saw an article in Corvette Fever last year where they installed one on a c3.
