View Full Version : Drive your Vette to work DAY
June 20 is Drive Your Vette to Work Day. Just thought I'd pass this on to you. Hopefully it won't be awash due to rain but a nice day to WAVE.

Just wondering - is it definitely this Fri. 6/20 or next Fri. 6/27?
It was 6/28 last year!

Thanks guys! Next question : what's the weather prediction? If it's nice, there will be a bright yellow '76 cruising South Philly! If anyone's gonna be down this way, please stop in & see me! I'm near St. Agnes Hospital (1900 South Broad St. ) at: St. Edmond's Fed. Savings Bank - 13th & Mifflin. I park the Vette at Mele's Station, Broad & Passyunk Ave!

I'll be up at the crack of 10 AM to back my car out of the garage then pull back in ... worked all day today in the garage... had to get the Harley ready for inspection... had a minor mishap with the bike ...didn't fall or anything like that but I had to buy 6 feet of Russell braided hose to repair some oil lines.

Where is this place called "work"? I'll drive there if it's nice out. Seriously, the last 2 years I looked out for Vettes on DYCTWD and think I saw less than I normally see! I think if you're working you should take the day off and drive your Vette around all day, or park it where people can see it!
How many people will not drive their car if it rains?

Richy, I'll drive mine in the rain if you hire me! A real job pays for a lot of wax! My car's seen more rain in the last month than all last year.

Joel - If I drive to where you work and stop in to say hi, when I come out I won't have a corvette.

Ed:
Not to worry! You'll still have a Corvette: just no wheels, roof, engine, doors, bumpers, etc. I've asked the boys in the hood not to mess with anyone's frame, so you'll be fine as long as your Vette looks like the one Bob Lima trailered to the Cavalcade. It's just as safe down here as it is most other places (as long as it's inside a pad locked garage with a high tech security system). JUST KIDDING!!!!!
But I probably won't drive the Vette in, if it's gonna be nasty out!

Hey Bob,give my regards to the girls in the laundromat.(A housekeeper's work is never done).

Yo Bob, SIT ON IT!!! & by the way, what's with your birth date being 12/31/69 in your profile??? Wishful thinking? Right, you're only "33" & retired!?! LOL.
