It looks like a intersection red light camera is being installed at 611 and Meetinghouse Road.

Meetinghouse Rd does cross 611 in Horsham, just south of the base. Horsham fire co is building a new firehouse there.

Isn't it great to know Big Brother is hard at work! Traffic ticket revenue will surely be going up in Horsham. Maybe they'll be able to lower the real estate taxes!?! RIGHT!!!

Joel the same system is going to be or is already installed at Grant Ave. and the Blvd. in the NE. Looks like taxes will go down in Philly also.....RIGHT!!!!!! :D :D

This could be a good thing is that area. Traffic seems like it is always backed up around the TP at Wllow Grove because of accidents. Maybe this will stop some of those "three on red" guys!

The problem with those red lite camera's are that the company that puts them in gets a commision on every ticket that the police issue. ;yn Yep, you can see the picture more clearly now. They lower the yellow lite time so that more tickets are issued and whoa-la !!! The revenue is endless!!! ;gm I know it can reduce some accidents, but, how do you really know if you went thru a yellow lite, or the camera just picked you out??? ;tt ;tt Guess I'm just a little cynical. :D

The camera takes a picture of your car and the light to make sure the light is red. I think the main reason is that with the new firehouse and the guys using the preempt system to change the lights, they want to make sure that the access to 611 is safe for the guys. It maybe wishful thinking but I hope that it is not used as a moneymaker.

They did away with it in favor of a higher temporary State Tax. I think I read it's going up to 3.2% if it already didn't start!
