PETE CARROLL

Does anyone have the name of a good company that ships cars? I have a friend that needs to ship a car from Fla. back to PA, Pete
No recs, but did get it done cheaply for a relative. And it was a nightmare. Actually the car did get here, safely and with no problems in route, but the company kept trading it off to other brokers and it stayed in storage for awhile, which we didn't expect. In fact was told the opposite. It was 3 weeks before it arrived. Can't count the phone calls we made to try to track it. So go with a known dealer and pay a lot, or go with a broker and take a chance. It's your call. Good luck!

The will probably charge in the area of $700-$850 to bring a car from FL to PA

I was very happy with my experience with Intercity Lines. They do alot of the transportation for Barrett Jackson. They shipped my Z06 from Naples, FL to PA. All of their equipment has elevator lift type doors in the back for a straight approach load (don't have to worry about low clearance with inclined ramps). They're an extremely professional operation..typically, with husband / wife teams that transport the vehicles.
The loading in Naples, FL:

And returned in the exact same condition as when I last saw it in Naples, FL:

Yes, there was actually 2 of them up there. They were so far gone, the driver actually called the buyer to make sure he really wanted them. They were stuck in a field in Alabama somewhere & they needed to call in a tow truck to pull them out so that they could get them on the truck. I guess no matter the condition...those skeletons make for a nice restoration foundation.
