Anyone know of any PA inspection/emissions problems associated with installing American Racing headers and hi-flo cats on a C5 or C6 Z06? I would also be interested in hearing about any other issues that you know about regarding the above installation.
Thanks.

Can't speak for American Racing Headers except all I have ever heard about them have been good things. I do have TPIS headers with Random Tech high flow cats and have zero codes, tunning or inspection issues.

I have American Racing Headers and hi-flow cats. Zero issues since they were installed over a year ago.

Talk with ECSC about AR headers. IMHO they're the best and you can easily get them installed at East Coast Supercharging in Cranbury, NJ right near Six Flags.

No issues with mine (C-5). I had mine ordered and installed @ ECS in Cranbury NJ. They were offering a bundled (low / flat install) price. excellent performance across the band.

Some people do experience problems with some of the cheaper "high flow" cats. They are not efficient enough to satisfy the monitoring system in the computer. ARH stuff is top notch and we have yet to have a problem with their quality or fitment.

Yes, it used to be Berrel Auto. Different name, different location, same great service.
As Berrel Auto in old location,Dale & Chris installed a variety of mods to my ' 02 Z06( AR headers,QTP cutouts,DTE struts,tuning,etc..).
I was always satisfied with the results & was always impressed with the quality & tech knowledge. In addition,Dale is one of the friendliest & most knowledgeable in the aftermarket business.I've not had a chance to use Inj. Conn. since my ' 08 C6 is remaining completely
stock;however, all the comments I hear are that the same great work is still being done.
Thanks. I called them today and making an appointment to have the headers installed. They gave me a very good price to buy and install the AR headers and the tune up that it will need. I have been wanting to have the headers put on for a long time.
CCDV members are always there when you need them. Thanks again. By the way, I was wondering how much additional HP I will get from the headers?

Nick, with no cats & the Procharger blower,my ' 02 picked up 50 hp & 48 ftlbs across the entire rpm range (488 to 538rwhp,still have dyno charts ) after AR install.

Agreed, that sounds about right. With a Vararam, LG's and a tune my LS2 is 380hp/390lb-ft at the RW. I didn't have any trouble with emissions with my LG's either.

That's cool Nick. ;bt
No need for the hi-flow cats. Just have Brian or whomever tunes the car to write them (rear sensors) out of the program. You also may need extensions cables to get your front 02 sensors reinstalled.

You'll definitely need extensions for the fronts, they get moved to the collectors under the car and the stock wire is VERY short since it's at the manifold right at the exhaust ports on the heads. The wires are the biggest PITA of the job so getting the "extra long" front extensions is usually helpful, just make sure you secure 'em so they don't burn.
Cats are optional but they make it easier to pass visual if you get a picky inspector and they also cut down on the sulfur smell, though there's more than with the stock even with them. The claim these days is high flow cats don't impair performance at all. I would definitely count on getting it tuned and tuning out the rear O2's. The rears are strictly for emissions and with headers they'll never run hot enough to read properly and you'll throw codes.
