Well, we are a little mor ethat 60 day out from the show. I talked to a couple members about caravaning out to AC on the 17th.
I just rebuilt the front suspension & steering so for this trip, I'd prefer the slow train to AC!;bl;bl
What are your plans for getting to AC on the 17th?

I called the Marriott and they do not give group discounts at this location because they know they will always fill up. As a matter of fact the longer you wait to reserve a room the more it will cost. As of Feb. 25th it's $109 for Friday and $219 for Saturday (this is not a typo the price doubles on the weekend). She says that Saturday's rate will jump to $299 if you wait til the last minute.

Here's the deal. The Holiday Inn Express located at 655 White Horse Pike, Absecon, NJ (which is 8.38 miles from the AC Convention Center) Has rooms for $112 per night irregardless of the day. Of course this won't help much if you don't have a car to get you there however if you do there is s substantial saving for driving the 10 minutes. It may even be worthwhile for a few or more people to get together and rent a car for 2 days.

Does anyone know what time they want us to arrive on Friday? I will probably leave work early & drive down in maybe the mid-afternoon (with the caravan if that's when you are thinking about going)?. I'll ask Sue to pick me up later that evening and we'll be staying at our condo in Margate about 15-20 minutes away.

Cars will start being placed inside the Convention Center as early as 0800 hours Friday the 17th.
Anyone registered to show their car will get a packet in the mail about mid March explaining everything..

very cheaply at his home in OCNJ. Discounts given if you bring your own sleeping bag. He will also provide shuttle service to anywhere you need to go.
You just have to give him the directions back to his house.....lol

I made some phone calls and got some prices to set up a buffet in a private banquet room at Angelos Fairmont Tavern (http://www.angelosfairmounttavern.com/) which is a very short walk from the AC Convention center. I figure that by Saturday night we'd all welcome a good dinner that's not based on hot dogs. If we can get 20 people committed I'd be happy to set it up.
Here's the Deal:
Silver Buffet Dinner (All you can eat)
Tossed Salad
Mussels Marinara
Fried Ravioli
Spinach and Artichoke Hearts
Shrimp Marinara and Pasta
Pasta and White Clam Sauce
Veal Parmesian
Lemon Chicken
Stuffed Shells
Mini Canoli
Coffee & Tea
$32.75 buffet
$2.29 tax 7%
$7.46 tip 29%
$42.50 total per person
Beverages soda, juice alcohol are additional
There will also be a pay as you drink cash bar.
If I get enough people interested I'll tell you where and when to send the money.

Another question: has there been any mention if we get 1 or 2 free entry tickets (for ourselves PLUS a guest, significant other, etc.)?? Or do we all have to purchase tickets??

2 passes per car.
You will have an Exhibitor badge that is good for the whole show.
Sue will get a wristband that is good for the whole show too...

I am leaving Bucks County on Friday the 17th at approx 2:00pm, with a stop at Tony Lukes, Front and Oregon in South Philly to gather up at least one other Corvette for the ride down. We'll probably be leaving South Philadelphia at approx 3:00pm to head to the AC Convention Center.
If anyone would like to ride down with us, let me know.
