I would begin troubleshooting the switch. That would be the cheapest and easiest. You can probably find a replacement at Contemporary Corvettes in Bristol my 90 coupe is on their shelves in a thousand pieces  If that does not fix it I would suspect either the wiring or window motor. Checking the wiring may be a pain in the ass.

When the window does not move is there any sound from the motor? Does it sound as if it's straining or not doing anything at all?
When the window is not working, hold the switch up or down while you open and close the door, you may luck out and find a break in the wire at the hinge.

Cheese1963 Where are you in Levittown?
If you want, I could take you down to meet Rocky and Chris at Contemporary.

If Showboad Don's tips don't work try holding the switch one way or the other and smack the inside door panel down low with your hand a couple of times. Sometimes the motors get a bad spot and a little jolt will make them run.

and if hitting it with your hand doesn't do the trick, go the sledgehammer route! (Just kidding!!) I would suspect it's the switch also. Had a similar problem and replacing the switch was all it took - besides being a cheap fix!!
