Each year Pittsburgh, Pa is the host to a Vintage Car Grand Prix. In 2004 it will be on July 17 & 18. According to their website, click for info www.pittsburghvintagegrandprix.com they have scheduled a lot of different events in addition to the race, car shows, city road rally, British car day etc... sounds like a big time. I have never been to it but it has always been on my list of things to do since I've heard about it.
This sounds like a good event for CCDV Club Members. It's a 5 to 6 hour ride to Pittsburgh, not too long. But definitely an over night stay.
If you think you may be interested in attending this please respond I'm not looking for a headcount at this time, I only wish to see if there is enough interest to pursue this as an event.
Also if anyone has been to past Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix races please share it with us. Thanks Don T.

It's a little over 300 miles, 6 hours on the Pa. Turnpike. I've driven it dozens of times, it's a lousy ride thru the mountains in a mini van but a nice ride in a Vette. I was looking at photos from lasts years race at http://www.september8th.com/pvgp_03_p1.htm and they seem to put a good show. They have been doing this for 21 years.

Bob do you think this is worth the trip? You went there to visit your Daughter, but would you have gone for the race alone?

Thanks for the info Bob. Does anyone know of any Vintage Car Races a little closer to home?
