Any recommendations out there? Still want the Vette to sound good but maybe a bit more mild than it's been.

Bob:
When I removed the original exhaust from the manifold, before I hooked up the side pipes, I drove around & terrorized the neighborhood. Doesn't get much louder than that!

Hey Joel--I would talk to Ken, he has the blue 68, big block. He has great exhaust system. He told me Andy Good in Southamton did the work. It looks great too. It's "tucked up" real nice in the rear. Andy's shop does top shelf work. Ken's at all our meetigs. See me there if you want me to ID him for you. Rick

Rick: Thank you. I agree that Ken's '68 BB looks & sounds great but I think I'm going to keep the original '69 sidepipes & just replace the mufflers with aftermarket jobs.

Joel: I had to replace my sidepipe mufflers a couple years ago. Got them from Ecklers or Mid-America. Beware! They are louder than the original factory jobs. When you get them, it has a tag that states--These mufflers are "louder" than the originals. In there ad's, they don't mention that. I love mine. I figure, why have a great ride and not the sounds of those sweet vette engines. I love nothing more than cruising at speed and listening to that "channel" on my sidepipes. Take Care--Rick

Rick:
Thanks for the warning!! I was not aware of that! It's hard to hold a conversation now in the Vette at speed. I can't imagine it being even louder!?! Maybe I should invest in a good set of headphones when I order the mufflers!?!
and Mark & Rick: thanks for the purchase info.
