I hope you are kidding! I think the season may now be ending sometime in December? Pretty soon the rain delays will be replaced by snow delays! This is getting to be TOOOOO MUCH!

My engine is being put together this week. Provided no gremlins, I will have my car for the race. Therefore, it will not rain.

The rain season around here is overwith! It's time now for more sun than clouds and rain! Sun will be the norm from here on out. The rest of the summer rain will be just here and there. We're heading towards our normal drought season now!!! It's time to race! :D

That was plan A. Now we're on plan B which incorporates actually having fun since everyone will be driving like a rookie anyway! :D

You are right,Rick.I'm going to ease back into it.On the 1st run,I'll leave on the 2nd staging light and then work my way down the
"tree" on successive runs.

Yeah, I'm going to do what I always...

1) Try to stay awake
2) Use JEDI FORCE to predict launch
3) Steer in a straight line for approx 1/4 mile
4) Pick up ticket (watch girl cringe from my squealing brakes)
5) Try to find a better way to stay above 14 seconds

OK, aside from all that we will leave from Bennigans, unless most of you want to go the back way, at 8:00am sharp. Hopefully we will have our "pitchick" back in action by then to drive the truck. Wear your CCDV racing T shirts, and let's get back to some racing! Unless of course it happens to.....well you know.

Tony, more than anything else, we hope that "pitchick" is feeling up to it by then. Rain doesn't compare to the health of our team. Give her a hug for us to help speed her along. WE MISS YOU ROSE!

OK
I know most of you guys are depending on me to give you the latest forecast for e-town, mostly because you are too lazy to look it up. As of now, e-town will be experiencing an unusual partly sunny day, with high temp @ 88 degrees, very little wind, and ZERO precip.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you at Bennigans at 8:00AM.

Lee this should come as no surprise as I got word today that my engine build is complete and it was being placed in my car today and could see it's first testing on Sat the 21st:D:D:D:D:D:D

Edgar, excuse my ignorance, but can you just go out and race a
freshly built engine without affecting its life expectancy?

Well guys, the way this year has been, I think I should order new tee shirts for all of us. They'll naturally be "aqua-marine" and say on them "The Freaking Glub Glub Club"!! ;yn I don't care what the weather pukes may say, you can bet your "lingenfelter" that a front will appear out of nowwhere, and suddenly,;tt "stall" over the Delaware Valley, until, of course TUESDAY!!! Then it'll be beautiful!! ;www;www;www Who cares about TUESDAYS!!! We have to work.... When are we gonna get a break!

Rick is right about finding our way to E Town...the roads probably have all washed away! ;www Wish I could go see ZZ Top too...;mm And Edgar, looks like you're gonna have to wait till the 28th to test your new mill. ;www

What a sucky year.....;sm

06-19-03, 10:26 AM
Edgar,
Very happy for you that you will have your new mill to run on the 21st. Just don't be so over-anxious that you forget to treat it like a new engine for break in purposes.

I know, I should not need to remind you of that.
It's just that this sharing thing is getting out of hand! LOL

Let me know how you make out.

Break-in period is always debated. So say break it in 500 softly others say break it in like you are going to drive it so the track would be the best place to break it in.

While we agree we should have some break-in period, I will go under the advice of the Vette Doctors.

Once it is built, they will drive it. Use it for runs and Carmen drives it home. That ought to put 100 or so miles on it.

The track opens Satruday in the afternoon. That will give me a few hours to drive it it so I can put another 150 or so on it and then we will go. If it rains then this will not be an issue.

Edgar,

Glad to see you will be back soon.

Amazing that you did not miss one ECSCC race. I hope your return brings a change in the weather too.

From now on only -500 feet DA and dry weather with lots of traction compund. :D

Mike Campbell
06-19-03, 12:51 PM
Edgar, just drive around for a couple of hundred miles on Monday and then test it out on Tuesday, because, Tuesday will be beautiful! ;yn You can count on that! I hope you bring back decent weather, but, I'm not counting on it. After all, how did your car get in the shop in the first place....;tt

Joel Fellman

I always thought break in was to be done a quarter mile at a time! So where's the problem?

REDGAR
06-19-03, 06:53 PM
Mike I am out of town during the week so I cannot do any of that driving.

Anyway, it turns out they will be holding on to it for the break-in period so looks like I will either have to pick it up Friday night the 27th or they will deliver it to me on the 28th if they have an extra driver.

Mike Campbell
06-20-03, 09:25 AM
That's a shame, since it's supposed to be nice all week. I'd even volunteer, but, like most of us I have to work ..;www Maybe your wifey can drive it to the shore or something...

REDGAR
06-20-03, 07:55 PM
Hah the shore is 12 miles from us. Not much of a break in. No really I and the the drs rather they do it cause they will have it to do multi dyno runs to tune once the get the miles on it.
