I've had my 87 on and off several times. The most important thing to do is spray down the nuts on the inner part of the bumper where it meets the hood. It is tricky to get it off because of the plastic honeycomb impact bumper behind the bumper. It's not difficult to get off, but it is another story getting it back on or a new one. If you need a hand, feel free to pm or call at 215-778-4722, vince. I also have the GM shop manuals for our cars.

A friend of mine had the bumper on his 88 removed by a little old lady(81 yrs old) in a old Dodge Dart a few years ago.
She put it in RVERSE instead of DRIVE, hit the gas and PRESTO no front bumper.
Her excuse was that his car was to low to be seen in the mirror.

Not the recommended but definitely the quickest!!!
It would be nice to put it back on in one piece! Just in case, do you have the number of the old lady?
