View Full Version : Covered Bridge Cruise & Poker Run
It's time to do the Covered Bridges!
This time we'll include a Poker Run. You will be given a route to follow and you'll pick up Poker Cards along the way.
If you choose to play Poker it is $5 to get in the game, with cash awards for the best and worst hand.
If you just want to enjoy a beautiful cruise there is no cost involved.
A lunch has been planned at Roman Delight, Ferry Road & Rte. 313, Doylestown, after the run where you will show your poker hand and try to win the cash awards. The whole event, cruise, lunch and Poker Run will be over by 12:30 so you can enjoy the rest of the day, also!
Paul's cell # is 267-238-7507 , call him if you need directions, he'll have it with him at all times.
The more participation the bigger the cash award.
Run will take place on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 9:00 A.M.
We will meet in Lenape Park in Perkasie - entrance off of Walnut Street (between 5th St. and Constitution Ave.)
If you have any questions or want to sign-up for this event please respond to this posting or call Paul or Ginny @ 215-453-7994 or email vwydominic@verizon.net.

Score one for Debbie Trayes !
LOL
Just a heads up,,,the road leading to the covered bridge near New Britain (Old Iron Head Rd,,or somethng like that) is having new sewer pipes installed,,the road itself has been graded for resurfacing and is in terrible shape,,this is the portion of the road if your coming east (I believe) from Ferry Rd,,use caution,,,its a really bumpy, dirty stretch. Weather it will be in this condition when the run date comes I don't know. Its been torn up for weeks thou.
I just checked and the name on the opposite side of the bridge is,,Keely Rd,, if anyone is more familiar with that street name,,,that side of the bridge is OK,,I don't know if this bridge was included in the run.

I believe that is Old Iron Hill Road. And yes, that area is torn up, and has been for some time and doubt it will be done anytime soon. I can check it out if need be. I work in that area. Just let me know.
Just a heads-up on the covererd bridge poker run. There's some concern over the quality of the roads and bridges that will be included. Not to worry, we all love our vettes and you can be sure we will only include bridges and roads that are vette worthy.

Thanks Paul, now all we have to do is get the vette fixed and we will be good to go.
Sounds like fun.
Just posted more details on this run. If you have any questions, please just ask. It will only work if we get a lot of people involved. Hope to see you there.

This sounds like a ton of fun. Count me in. Where do I sign up? I have no idea how to play poker but what better way to learn than by driving my dream...

Would have liked to have had you along for the ride, but know you'll have a blast in Mexico.

Received more new parts today. Replacing some extra parts as a precaution. You know how it is, after 40 years everything starts falling apart. :D Hope to have it done by next weekend for the Covered Bridge/Poker Run. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for the email Walt, great to have you along!

Hi. I have a friend and fellow C6 owner that wants to join in on the fun but isn't into the computer aspect of this in order to sign up for this event. What does he have to do to join in on the fun?

If you'd like to give me his name I will add him to the list. Glad to have him join us, and thanks for helping him out. If he'd rather call it's 215-453-7994 ask for Ginny or Paul. By the way if you're planning to have a co-pilot give us the names, also.
The cruise, poker, and lunch will be over by 12:30, so you still have the rest of the day to enjoy. Thanks Davette!
Thanks for the phone call Stan, as you can see we've added your name to the list of "here's who going".

Hi again and thank you for being as helpful as you are with everything. My friends name is Ray P. and yes as it stands I will have a co-pilot and her name is Michele L. Thanks again. See you all on Sunday.
It's going to be a beautiful day for the cruise. One person will walk away a very good winner and someone will walk away a very good loser.

Paul - There's a 50/50 chance I'll be there. How do I get there from NE Philly?
I live near Red Lion rd. & the Boulevard.

Ed,
Take Rt. 63 to Rt. 309N.
Take Rt. 309N thru Hatfield and bear Right after passing Peruzzi Toyota ... you will see their BIG American Flag .... (do not go onto expressway).
This will put you on Bethlehem Pike. Take Bethlehem Pike approx. 3 or 4 miles to Sellersville.
As you go down a steep hill stay in the right lane.
Take Rt. 152S (a soft right) and follow that to Walnut Street (I think it is the second traffic light).
Make a left crossing the bridge and make a left immediately into Lenape Park.
Hope to see you there!
