Frank King "King of Macungie"

Our very own CCDV'r Frank King took his Street Rod to 'The Wheels of Time" car show in Macungie and competed with over 2,000 other street rods for one of their 15 awards. This is not a typo I said over two thousand street rods. Frank not only won an award but he was picked out of the entire group by the NSRA Nat'l Street Rod Assoc. as the best in the group.
I was at the show Sat & Sun and I was blown away, it's incredible to see that many high quality custom rods in one place. Unfortunately I understand that it's always on Corvettes of Carlisle weekend. But if you ever need a reason to miss Carlisle this would be it.

This truck was also picked to recieve an award by Dennis Anderson representative/driver of the monster truck 'Grave Digger' who was onsite. As a sidenote Don's Showboards prearranged with Macungie officials to award a priceless custom showboard and stand (shameless ad) to the car or truck that was picked by Dennis Anderson. What a magnanamous gesture. :D

That was 2,000 cars that pre-registered I have no idea how many registered the day of, the offical total was not announced. :eek:unfriggenbelievable:eek:

Don's Showboards did OK, thanks. I think the words getting out, quite a few folks said they were looking for my booth. :D ;bt
