Every Tuesday Shady Brook Farms http://www.shadybrookfarm.com/cruise.php in Yardley puts on a nice cruise night, food, music etc... Each cruise night they feature different cars, mustangs, mopar, big block etc... Tuesday, August 26 is Corvette Night. They award 14 trophies 10 are awarded to the featured cars and 4 to non featured. If everyone stays home and watches ' NBCs America's Got Talent' instead of venturing out, the odds of me and my 92 bringing home a trophy will improve greatly. So please do not attend Shady Brook Cruise Night next Tuesday Aug. 26th, stay home. ;bl

Hey, my friend!

Maybe I'll see you there.

Think how great you'll feel when you actually win the thing!

Went to the Vette nite there a few weeks ago. Nice event, but the field is so dry and dusty that your whole car is covered by the time you leave. Had to clean the entire car and the inside as well because I had windows down and top off.

On the bright side....the bottomless root beer floats are excellent!

Hey Don:
Even if you can't take the Vette for some reason, just prop up one of your show boards & you'll be a shoe in for a trophy!! Plus that way you won't have to worry about getting any dust on or in it.

For a few minutes I thought you might be stating that for other reasons.

For you sir, I should know better! :D:D

You may have hit on something Joel. Maybe I could make a life size showboard of my car and drop that off at shows. It'll get great gas mileage and never need washing again. And I can photoshop out the bird crap. ;bl

Joel what are you smokin? We couldn't get all the board members out even if the event was to watch the Swedish Bikini Team hang Osama Bin Laden while the Rolling Stones were playing Beggars Banquet Live. ;at

AND the only way I'll come home from a CCDV event with a trophy is if I went home via Conshohocken stopped by Crown Trophy and plopped my $17 down for one. ;bl It's the curse of the C4.;bl

The entire board didn't come to the Cavalcade so there's "0" chance they will all be at Shady Brook this week.

We could put out signs on major roads in the area that say "Cruisne Night cancelled this week" That should help Don out.

Speeding? What member of our club would do such a thing? Who would risk the dignity of our our prestigious organization by doing something so serious as speeding? :D

I will not be providing the local constables with the opportunity, I'll be home having a martini so as to improve Don's odds. If any of you are around, feel free to join me for a cocktail. Of course you'll have to walk over, or at least walk back.

I am sure glad you are NOT supporting Drinking And Driving. I would love to stop by but the walk home - IF I HAD A BEER - is too far for this old fart to negotiate!!!!;bl ;bl

I played it safe too, I let my son drive the Vette! I took the truck to peddle my wares. Thanks to a few generous CCDV members I made a sale or two!(should have stopped by for some of those "coldies"!lollol)

Thanks guys!!!

These 4 CCDV members took home trophies which destroyed my odds. But not to worry I still got home in time to watch the last hour of America's got Talent.

I stopped of at Wal-Mart bought a car model put it together spray painted it gold then glued it on top a pipe HA- I got my own trophy. ;bl

Story behind this post.....
Earlier this season several of us went to Shadybrook cruise night. Don and I were sitting on the patio talking when Don said," what's that guy doing ????" Well the guy was about 80 and had an old mustang from the late 70's or early 80's, not a show car unless big round fog lights (that didn't match) and an Indian blanket over the seat are new mods that I haven't seen in any magazines. Anyway, I thought he was using some window cleaner to clean the firewall but Don said, "I don't think that's window cleaner the can rattles!!!! " he was right, I was semi gloss black paint and he was repainting his firewall next to my car. ;ae Before I could get to my car several guys stopped the old gent form giving me a new textured paint job. So if you see an old black Mustang with 6 inch round yellow fog lights at a cruise night... DON'T park next to him, Or hand him a paint brush and take his rattle can away from him!!!;bl

That's a funny story. I guess some people apply some Zaino as a finishing touch when they arrive to a show...and some just spray paint all over the dirty crap. Do you think I could use that paint instead of Z-16 on my tires to make the shine more permanent?
